Beef, Mushroom, and Leafy Greens
Leaps is a specifically formulated diet for dogs living with cancer. Fuel their fight with our gently cooked, nutrient rich, protein-packed recipes—made to support their immune systems, reduce inflammation, and build muscle.
Filled with iron-rich proteins—including grass-fed beef—as well as superfoods like maitake mushrooms, oysters, and chia seeds. This recipe is a great choice for dogs struggling to gain or maintain weight.
Beef, Mushroom, and Leafy Greens
Leaps is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for adult maintenance.
It can take time for your dog to adapt to a new diet, especially if it's a bigger change (i.e. high-carb kibble to low-carb fresh). We recommend incorporating Leaps into your dog's diet slowly, using the following schedule.
If your dog has a particularly sensitive stomach, we recommend a 10-day transition by adding an extra day for each step. If your dog experiences minor digestive issues, slow down the transition until side effects resolve and then try ramping back up.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about Leaps and if it’s right for your dog?
What makes Leaps different?
We set out with one goal in mind: to create the best possible diet for dogs living with cancer. We invest in premium ingredients that competitors exclude or minimize due to cost. We’ve also spent time with leading veterinarians, oncologiests, and pet nutritionists to better understand what dogs living with cancer really need and deliver it in the safest, healthiest, most convenient way possible.
My dog has cancer. How long do I feed them Leaps?
Indefinitely! Metabolic changes caused by cancer are permanent. That's why it's important to keep your dog on the right diet even after receiving treatment and/or entering remission. We recommend feeding your dog Leaps in the early days of a cancer diagnosis, and long after they’re cancer-free.
Is Leaps only for dogs with cancer?
While Leaps has been formulated specifically with cancer in mind (and invests in premium ingredients accordingly), it’s a complete and balanced diet suitable for all adult dogs. Our dietary approach and many of our ingredients have also been linked to a reduced risk of developing cancer, for those looking to stay a step ahead.
Which Leaps recipe is right for my dog?
Each of our formulas is tailored to help your dog fight cancer and offers a range of health benefits. We also use multiple protein sources in each recipe, to ensure that your dog gets the benefits of a wider range of amino acids and nutrients.
For dogs who are struggling to gain or maintain a healthy weight, we recommend the Beef, Mushroom, and Leafy Greens recipe. For dogs who have sensitive stomachs, we recommend the Turkey, Whitefish, and Squash recipe. For dogs who need to eat a leaner diet, we recommend the Whitefish, Sardines, and Veggies recipe.
If none of the above applies, we recommend simply adhering to your dog's preferences!
How do I transition my dog's diet to Leaps?
It can take time for your dog to adapt to a new diet, especially if it's a bigger change (i.e. high-carb kibble to low-carb fresh). We recommend incorporating Leaps into your dog's diet slowly, using the
following schedule.
If your dog has a particularly sensitive stomach, we recommend a 10-day transition by adding an extra day for
each step. If your dog experiences minor digestive issues, slow down the
transition until side effects resolve and then try ramping back up.
How much should I feed my dog?
Have questions or are unsure about your dog’s serving size? Email us and we can help.
How should I store and serve Leaps—and how long will it stay fresh?
We use vacuum-sealed packaging to lock in freshness and extend shelf life without the need for preservatives. Unopened packages can last up to 6 months in the freezer, and up to 4 days in the fridge once thawed. Opened packages should be refrigerated in a reusable container or bag and can be served for up to 3 additional days.
Where does Leaps ship?
We currently ship to California but are working hard to bring Leaps to more customers. If you’re not in California, please join our waiting list and we'll let you know as soon as we reach your area.
